See my profile on the Life Coach Directory.

Since 1998, I have been coaching, training, teaching, lecturing, mentoring and guiding in a variety of contexts, including higher and private education, outdoor education, private enterprise, and the not-for-profit sector.

As well as coaching at Thrive Positive, I design and teach positive mental and emotional wellbeing courses at the Good Life School, which I founded to help curious minds and questioning souls do the learning, connecting and reflecting we need to figure out what the good life means for each of us.

Right now, I’m also doing an MSc in Counselling at Abertay University in Dundee so that I can support coachees and trainees with even greater versatility.

Before founding Thrive Positive, I ran my own adult education business for five years here in Edinburgh, and still continue lecturing at Heriot-Watt University and examining overseas for Trinity College London ad hoc.

I’ve lived in Japan, NZ, Ecuador, Canada and the US, and have travelled in around 50 countries. My favourite kind of trips are alpine hiking hut-to-hut or skiing, ideally with folk who’ve good chat! (I’ve had a lot of fun solo backpacking, but nothing beats good company:)

I used to lead teen adventure trips across Europe (which is as cool as it sounds!), and I worked for a time in radio and print journalism back when I thought I wanted to be a documentary filmmaker.

Put simply, for me learning, change and growth never end. I totally love it!
